In April month all the southern States and most of the north India will celebrate New Year starting from 13th April. In different States New Year is celebrated on different day with different Traditions and Customs. Below is list of dates of New Year Celebration of various States:     
                            

v  Assam : Assam New Year (Bihu) starts on 14th or 15th of April.

v  Bengal : Bengal NewYear (Naba Barsha) starts on 15th April.

v  Gujarat : Gujarat New Year (Bestu Varas) starts on Karthik Shukla Pratipada.

v  Kerala : Kerala New Year (Vishu) starts in the month of Medam (on the day when the Sun enters in the constellation Leo).

v Karnataka andAndhra Pradesh: Karnataka and Andhra New Year (Ugadi) falls on Chaitra Shuddha Prathipade.

v  Maharashtra : Marathi New Year (Gudhi Padva or Samvatsar Padvo) starts in the month of Chaitra

v  Odia : Oriya New Year (Mesha Sankranti) starts in the month of Chaitra

v  Punjab : Punjab New Year (Baisakhi) starts on 13th April.

v  Tamil Nadu : Tamil New Year (Puthandu) starts on 14th of April
