SARASWATI PUJA:2016

Today is Vasant Panchami and is considered as Mother Saraswati's Birthday. In almost all the households of West Bengal, Saraswati Pooja is celebrated with immense devotion.

Sri Saraswati Puja is also performed in image at Belur Math. Morning many devotees came with their children. The children were helped to write Bengali alphabets on their slat to mark the starting of their education.

KALPATARU DAY:2016

As usual Kalpataru day was observed at Cossipore Garden House on 1st January. Thousands of devotees thronged to Cossipore Garden House from dawn to night to have darshan of Sri Ramakrishna. They brought offerings and prayed to him for fulfilling their prayers.All were feed with Khichuri prasad at the Math campus.

Jagaddhatri Puja
Jagaddhatri Puja is one of the important festivals celebrated mainly in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. It is also known as Dhatri Pooja and Jagadamba Puja. The festival of Jagaddhatri Puja is celebrated in the splendid manner on the ninth day of the moonlit fortnight in the month of Kartik or November and the date depends on the Bengali calendar.

HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL VISITORS
Deepavali or Diwali is one of the most important festivals for Hindus. It means 'Row of Lamps/Lights'.

In Sothern parts of India Deepavali celebrations begin with waking up early in the morning, before sun rise, followed by an oil-bath. Then new clothes are worn and crackers and lights are used extensively as a part of celebrations.

Deepavali is a 4 days festival as Deepavali, Lakshmi Puja, Kartika Shuddha Padwa and Yama Dvitiya.
