In different States New Year is celebrated on different day with different Traditions and Customs. Below is list of dates of New Year Celebration of various States:

v Karnataka andAndhra Pradesh: Karnataka and Andhra New Year (Ugadifalls on Chaitra Shuddha Prathipade.
v  Maharashtra : Marathi New Year (Gudhi Padva or Samvatsar Padvostarts in the month of Chaitra
v  Odia : Oriya New Year (Mesha Sankrantistarts in the month of Chaitra
v  Punjab : Punjab New Year (Baisakhistarts on 13th April.
